Who is responsible
ALT SHIFT UP PTY LTD (ABN 67 702 776 770) is responsible for personal information collected through this website and through our projects. Our address is Unit 10, 37 Crown Street, Granville NSW 2142, Australia. Questions go to [email protected].
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What this website collects
- The contact form. Your name, your email address, your company name if you give it, your message, and the page you sent it from.
- Email. Anything you choose to send us.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider records technical data such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
Information in client projects
During a project you may give us data that contains personal information, such as customer, patient, subscriber or staff records. We use that data only to deliver your project, only in the ways you instruct, and we keep it confidential. At the end of the project we return or delete it when you ask, unless the law requires us to keep it.
You are responsible for having the right to share that data with us.
Why we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To deliver, support and invoice the services you engage us for.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that we need to run the business, for example:
- FormBoost, which receives the contact form and forwards it to us by email;
- Vercel, which hosts this website;
- our email, file storage and accounting providers; and
- a payment provider, if you pay online.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.
We also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client and billing records: as long as Australian tax law requires, currently 5 years.
- Project data: until the project ends and you ask us to return or delete it.
Security
We limit access to the people working on your project, use accounts with strong authentication, and keep data in services that encrypt it in transit. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
