Who we are

This website is run by ALT SHIFT UP PTY LTD (ABN 67 702 776 770, ACN 702 776 770), an Australian private company with its address at Unit 10, 37 Crown Street, Granville NSW 2142, Australia. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean ALT SHIFT UP PTY LTD. “You” means the person or business using this website or engaging us.

You can reach us at [email protected].

What these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of this website and to any service we provide, including software development, data automation, integrations, data cleaning, maintenance and consulting.

If we sign a separate agreement or statement of work with you, that document wins wherever it differs from these terms.

Quotes and scope

We agree every project in writing before work starts. A quote or proposal states the scope, the deliverables, the timeline, the price, the currency and the payment schedule.

  • Clients in Bangladesh are quoted in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT). Clients in Australia are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD). Other clients are quoted in the currency we agree in writing.
  • A quote stays valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise.
  • ALT SHIFT UP PTY LTD is not registered for GST, so our prices do not include GST.
  • Work that is not in the written scope is a change request. We confirm the effect on price and timeline in writing before we do it.

Payment

You pay according to the schedule in your quote, usually a deposit before work starts and the balance at agreed milestones. Invoices are due within 14 days unless the quote states a different period.

If we accept online payment, a third-party payment provider processes it. We never see or store your full card or account details.

If an invoice is overdue, we may pause work until it is paid. We tell you in writing before we pause.

Your responsibilities

  • Give us the access, information and feedback the project needs, at the times agreed.
  • Only give us data that you own or are authorised to use, and make sure you have a lawful basis to let us process it.
  • Keep your own passwords and accounts secure, and tell us when someone should lose access.

Data sources we work with

We work only with data and systems that you own or are authorised to use. We decline work that requires bypassing logins, paywalls or other access controls, or that breaks a website’s terms or the law.

Ownership of the work

When you have paid in full, you own the custom code, configurations, designs and documents we made specifically for your project.

We keep ownership of our own tools, libraries, templates and know-how that existed before your project or that we built for general use. You get a permanent licence to use them as part of your deliverables. Open-source components stay under their own licences.

We do not name you as a client in public without your written permission.

Confidentiality

We keep your business information and data confidential, use it only for your project, and share it only with the service providers the project needs. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Fixing defects

If something we delivered does not work as described in the agreed scope, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will fix it at no charge. Your quote may state a longer period. Changes in scope, third-party changes and problems caused by changes made by others are outside this promise.

Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights or any other right that the law does not allow us to limit.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • our total liability for any claim connected with a project is limited to the fees you paid us for that project in the 12 months before the claim; and
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost revenue or lost data that a reasonable backup would have kept.

Third-party services

Projects often depend on services that we do not control, such as hosting, payment gateways, messaging platforms and third-party APIs. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for their outages, price changes or policy changes.

Ending a project

Either side can end a project by written notice. You pay for the work done up to the date of the notice, and any refund follows our Return & Refund Policy. We hand over everything completed up to that date once those amounts are settled.

Using this website

The information on this website is general and may change. Do not try to disrupt the site, access parts of it you are not meant to, or send automated requests through its forms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Both sides submit to the courts of that state.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date below shows the latest version. Changes do not affect a project that is already under a signed quote unless both sides agree.
